Purpose

Should I AI This? is an educational decision-support tool operated by LTECwithLance, LLC. It is intended to help users think through risks, safeguards, and organizational questions before using generative AI for workplace tasks. The tool provides general guidance, not a determination of whether any particular use is appropriate, lawful, or safe.

No professional or compliance determination

Results are general educational guidance, not legal, regulatory, privacy, cybersecurity, employment, education, health, financial, or other professional advice. A result does not certify any AI tool, workflow, organization, or user as compliant or safe. The tool does not provide a definitive FERPA, HIPAA, GLBA, FOIA, or other legal determination. Follow applicable law, contracts, organizational policy, and qualified professional guidance.

Your information and decisions

Do not enter protected, confidential, regulated, credential, or other sensitive information into the assessment. The optional task-description field is not analyzed, scored, or transmitted, and should not be used to record real personal or protected data.

You are responsible for deciding whether and how to use an AI system, for verifying AI-generated outputs before relying on them, and for obtaining appropriate authorization from your organization before submitting sensitive information to any AI service.

Qualified human judgment

The tool is designed to support, not replace, qualified human judgment. AI-generated outputs should be reviewed by a qualified person before use, particularly for consequential decisions involving grades, employment, benefits, finances, discipline, or legal action. Do not allow AI to make final decisions without appropriate human review.

Accounts

The application requires a registered account for access. You may register using email and password, Google Sign-In, or Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information at registration and keep your account information current.

Appropriate use

You agree to use the tool only for its intended educational purpose and not to misuse the service, attempt to gain unauthorized access, interfere with its operation, or use it in violation of applicable law or organizational policy. You may not attempt to access other users' accounts or data.

Account termination and deletion

You may delete your account at any time from the account menu within the application. When you delete your account, you are signed out immediately, your password and sign-in codes stop working, and your user record is removed from the active user list. The hosting platform may retain your profile in a recently deleted state for a limited period before permanent removal. LTECwithLance may suspend or terminate access for users who violate these Terms or applicable law.

Availability and changes

The tool may be updated, corrected, expanded, or discontinued. LTECwithLance does not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that the assessment covers every risk, policy, law, or circumstance relevant to a particular use.

Intellectual property

The application, assessment logic, original text, branding, and associated LTECwithLance materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may use generated assessment reports for your own legitimate work and organizational discussions.

Disclaimers

The tool is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. LTECwithLance disclaims liability for damages arising from the use or reliance on the tool's guidance. You remain solely responsible for your decisions and actions.
