Privacy Policy

Should I AI This? (the "tool" or "application") is operated by LTECwithLance, LLC ("LTECwithLance," "we," or "us"). This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information in connection with the tool. It distinguishes between account and authentication data, assessment responses, technical and diagnostic data, and information you choose to export.

Account and authentication data

The application requires a registered account for access. When you create an account, LTECwithLance and its hosting and authentication platform collect and process the following information:

• Email address — used for registration, login, email verification, and account administration.
• Password — used only for email/password authentication; passwords are hashed and are not stored in plaintext.
• Display name — provided by your authentication provider when you sign in with Google or Apple.
• Account role — either "user" or "admin," used to determine access to administrative features.
• Account creation date and identifiers — used for administration and record-keeping.

The application supports three authentication methods:

• Email and password — managed through the platform's authentication service.
• Google Sign-In — Google processes your Google credentials; the application receives your email address and, if available, your name.
• Sign in with Apple — Apple processes your Apple credentials; the application receives your email address and, if available, your name.

When you use Google or Apple, your authentication credentials are handled by that provider and are not shared with LTECwithLance. The authentication platform transmits the minimum information needed to create or access your account (typically your email address and name).

Assessment responses

Assessment responses — your answers to the seven assessment questions, including the optional task-description field — are processed entirely in your browser. The assessment engine is deterministic and rule-based. It does not call any external AI model, API, or server-side processing function to calculate your risk score.

Assessment answers are held in the application's in-memory state during your browsing session. They are not stored in an LTECwithLance or Base44 database, are not transmitted to LTECwithLance, Base44, or any external generative-AI service, and are not included in platform logs. When you close or refresh the page, your answers are cleared from memory.

Do not enter confidential, personal, student, health, financial, or otherwise protected information into the assessment. The optional task-description field is not analyzed, scored, transmitted, persisted, or included in exported reports. It exists only to help you think through your assessment.

Administrative access

Administrators can manage account information — including email addresses, names, roles, and creation dates — for authorized users. Administrators cannot inspect, access, or retrieve any user's assessment responses, because assessment responses are never stored on a server and are not associated with user accounts.

Information you choose to export or share

If you use the Print, Download PDF, or Share Report features, the report is generated locally in your browser from the assessment result held in memory. No report content is transmitted to LTECwithLance or any server. The Share Report feature uses your device's native sharing or clipboard, and you choose the destination.

If you use the Contact page, the form opens your device's email application with a prefilled message. The message is not submitted to an LTECwithLance web database; it is sent only if you choose to send it from your email application.

Theme preference

The application stores your light or dark theme preference in your browser's local storage. This is a single setting on your device and is not transmitted to or associated with your account.

Technical, diagnostic, and security data

Hosting, distribution, operating-system, authentication, and app-platform providers may process ordinary technical information necessary to deliver, secure, and maintain the service. This may include network requests, device or browser type, IP addresses, request timestamps, and error or crash information. Those providers operate under their own applicable terms and privacy practices. LTECwithLance does not combine assessment responses with technical information, because assessment responses are not stored on a server.

Authentication events — such as login, registration, and password-reset requests — are processed by the authentication platform to verify identity and protect accounts. This information is separate from assessment responses.

Analytics and advertising

The application does not use third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or tracking pixels. No advertising is displayed. Assessment responses are not used to build advertising profiles.

Data retention

Assessment responses are not stored on any server and are not retained after your browsing session ends.

Account and authentication records — including your email address, role, and creation date — are retained for as long as your account is active and are removed when you delete your account. Password-reset and email-verification tokens are retained only for as long as needed to complete the relevant action.

Correspondence you voluntarily send to LTECwithLance (for example, by email) may be retained as part of normal business communications.

Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the account menu within the application. When you delete your account, you are signed out immediately, and your password and sign-in codes stop working. Your user record — including your email address, role, and account metadata — is removed from the active user list. Because assessment responses are never stored on a server, there are no assessment records to delete. The hosting platform may retain your profile in a recently deleted state for a limited period before permanent removal; during that window an administrator may restore the profile if deletion was requested in error.

Data security and limitations

LTECwithLance relies on its hosting and authentication platform to protect account and technical data using industry-standard measures. However, no method of transmission or electronic storage is completely secure. This tool does not provide legal, regulatory, privacy, or cybersecurity advice and does not guarantee compliance with any specific law or regulation.

Your privacy rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You can update your account information or delete your account directly within the application. For other requests, contact LTECwithLance using the information below.

Policy updates

LTECwithLance may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the application after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
